God gives us talents that are used to bring joy to all those around us...in doing so we are hopefully honoring HIM!

Awww what gorgeous work!!!
The first photo is an American Indian Tribute painting, "Warrior Tears" done by Cathy Minerva in encaustics. I fell in love with all her paintings done in this medium, and someday I'm gonna be the owner of one.

The second is a little ATC done in this same medium. I was totally blown away especially because it's Cathy's first encaustic ATC ever done...and I own it!!! heheeh!!!
Thank you Patti Koosed for partnering Cathy and I up in your Blog's Valentine Swap.

Beautiful!
Thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog:). I look forward to visitng your blog again soon!
Blessings,

I adore this post. What beautiful inspiring paintings. Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you, Bevie for posting my work. Encaustic is a challenging medium since you are painting with molten wax. It melts at about 130 degrees. I truly enjoy this medium but you have to be careful as sometimes you get the perfect eye or nose done only to accidentally re-melt it with the iron! Take good care. Cath
Yes girls Cath is an awesome artist, and I'm proud to show you work, and direct you to her blog so you can see more.. I can only image Cath how careful one must be to work in this medium, one I won't be trying that's for sure...I'm too off balance..not in the head (hubby might disagree heheh) Blessings for all to have a great day!!!
Gorgeous indeed!
I just started An Artistic Mother's Group where we will be going through 12 projects together from Shona Cole's new book The Artistic Mother. Her desire is to help mothers find a to fit art into their every day, even if it's just a little something. I would so love for you to join us. You can read more about it on my blog; and if you're interested in participating, just leave me a comment, and I'll add you to the list.

PS If this is not something you are interested in doing at this time,or even if you are, maybe you could do a little blurb about it for me so that other artsy moms can join. It might be a help to them if they are looking for inspiration and/or an accountability group. We start March 6th, but anyone can jump in at any time. We will spend two weeks on each project. Blog about our progress and link to all of the other participants. Thanks so much for your consideration.
I sure will!!!
