The first photo is an American Indian Tribute painting, "Warrior Tears" done by Cathy Minerva in encaustics. I fell in love with all her paintings done in this medium, and someday I'm gonna be the owner of one.

The second is a little ATC done in this same medium. I was totally blown away especially because it's Cathy's first encaustic ATC ever done...and I own it!!! heheeh!!!

Thank you, Bevie for posting my work. Encaustic is a challenging medium since you are painting with molten wax. It melts at about 130 degrees. I truly enjoy this medium but you have to be careful as sometimes you get the perfect eye or nose done only to accidentally re-melt it with the iron! Take good care. Cath

I can only image Cath how careful one must be to work in this medium, one I won't be trying that's for sure...I'm too off balance..not in the head (hubby might disagree heheh) Blessings for all to have a great day!!!
