Found a old photo of several of my siblings

From left to right...Bill, Tom (my twin) me and my half sister, Ginger.
after Bill we had a sister named Robin who was blind deaf and totally retarted due to mom having the German Measles when she was 3 mos pregnant. Robin lived to be 48 having been cared for in an institution...back in those days there weren't many options. Then came Mary whom many of you know from her blog http://asplendidadventure.blogspot.com and from many NING Networks too. Just wanted you to see how cute we were back the...a very long time ago..hehehe!!!

What I'm so thankful for

Today being Thanksgiving I wanted to come and share what I'm thankful for this year. It's amazing how most of what I'm thankful for doesn't change...I'm thankful for my Abba Father who came down as his son to die on that cross in Calvary for all our sins...what a terrible death that was....just think how much our God loves us to do that...just think!!!! I'm thankful for the family I have, my wonderful husband, and children we raised, and of course all our grandchildren. I'm so thankful that even tho we struggle to make ends meet like so many of our neighbors we are never without food to eat, heat to keep us warm, and a nice home....I'm thankful for my mom being here for Thanksgiving. The turkey was put in the oven around 7am so dinner will be 2 or 3...yes it's a big bird for just 3 of us, but my daughters will be here with one's kids so we will have plenty food leftover for days.
May I extend a very warm greeting to each of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, and my wish that you share your blessings with others around you...(((gentle hugs to all my online friends)))

What I've been up to...

I've been having a blast making little ornies for gifts...I've been in a couple ornie swaps as well.
I have discontinued making little ATCs for now cuz it gives me more time to create the paintings I love to do, and enter into swaps, but most of all to spend more time living life!! I'd love to see some of the things you are working on for Christmas or for Thanksgiving for that matter...Am I getting ahead of my self here..hehehhe!!! We all know times keeps marching on and in no time Christmas will be here so getting ready is a good thing. If you have an tutorials as to creating different ornies please add your website or blog here so others can visit you!!!
Have an awesome weekend, and a very Blessed Thanksgiving. Remember to share with those less fortunate. (((hugs)))

What a beautiful day!!!

The past few days have been a bit rough as I've been bitten by a bug...not a nice bug either!!! BUT sometimes it's our bodies way of slowing us down don't you think? I found as I lay there on the sofa I had time to think about all the things I've done in the past year and it actually blows me away. I've made and traded 100's of little ATCs. It's amazing how these little gems become addicting...so much so that I've let my canvas art take a back seat. I have also met so many great ladies who love making them as well. It's like having a little piece of each of their art work that I can keep forever! I've received atcs from all over the world...my postmaster things I'm crazy for I'm her number one client..hehehehe!!! Yep, I visit her several times a week. hehehehe!!! Well, I really just wanted to come and wish each of you a wonderful day...if you aren't feeling well please let me know so I can put you on my prayer list. One of our daughter's (hubby's daughter) and her family have been passing around the Swine Flu. All we can do is pray that those who contract this are able to fight it off with meds. I've been making pots of soup to share with neighbors who've been sick as well..

So now I"m going to go back and take a little nap in the hopes this fever will subside...good thing I've kept some soup for us too...heheheh!!!
blessings to all who happen by this little blog today!!!
