Blessings to all who come by!

Good morning friends.  I've been busy riding with my hubby on some of his Tow trips enjoying not only his company, but all the eye candy we see in VA.  It's snowed a couple times in the past 2 wks, however nothing that caused any problems.  More to come on Sunday.

Thought I'd share some of the little ATCs I've created for trading....it's been ages since I made some.  They are so much fun to do I just can't stop creating them cold turkey. LOL  Here are some of them.

I'm stilling knitting and crocheting neck scarves, cowls, and baby blankets...three of my friends are having babies in the next couple months so I'm getting them ready early!!

Just letting you all know that I'm sitting around twiddling my thumps...did I spell that right??? hhehehe~~~

My memory problems is getting worse so please forgive me if I say something more than once or leave out a word.  I send lots of good blessings for each of you as you go thru the days in front of you...remembering worrying about days gone by is just a waste of time...it's now and how we live each day from here on is what matters...giving and loving those in need not only makes them happy, but it sure does make our hearts as well...(((hugs)))

I'm thankful for.....

Knowing in my heart true peace comes only when I become submissive to God's will in my life why then did I try to do things in my own strength?  Too many times I'd fall into the snares of the world around me creating heartache and disaster.   Being a child of God creates a struggle in, and against the world,  by keeping HIS word uppermost in my heart and mind brings complete peace. Then  God takes up my whole heart!   Being in my Father's arms keeps me safe as a baby feels when tucked in his mother's arms.

But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ.  Phil 4:19

Blessings as we think about all that we are thankful for during this Holiday season.. Bevie

Our prayers are being answered.

I mentioned that my hubby lost his shop several weeks ago, however a friend and his parents sat down with them and offered a portion of their large shop for as long as it's needed...Good Christian family who believes God wants them to share.  We are so blessed!!  This shop is in WV so we've decided to sell our home in VA if we can buy one in WV making the trip to work a short one for a change.  Dewey had been traveling 45 mins to and from work spending big bucks on gas.  This will help keep us within our budget, and get us closer to our children (all but one lives in WV) Yea!!  It's actually 3 houses from Dewey's daughter so I'll be able see that Harley gets on and off the bus when school starts.  We love our little home in the mountains with all the tall old trees....but there's a huge shop on the property with no restrictions so the guys can work from home!!  Keep us close in prayer if you will...God is in control and we have Faith that things will be as HE wants them.

My therapy should end in the next couple weeks because I'm progressing well.  Knee bend @ 103 degrees, needs to be @ 110.  It's perfect with it straightened.  Hurray!  I've lost 29 lbs since the surgery and pulling out clothes I've had stored away for at least 5 yrs...eheheh!!
Here's a photo of my sweet, little therapist and me!

This is from the Message
Ephesians 3:20-21
God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Glory to God in the church!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!

The Cross

Good morning...it's been raining here in VA since yesterday evening, and I am thanking my Lord for answered prayer! We are over 7 inches low in water at this time so the 3 to 5 inches we are to get in the next couple days is awesome...I wanted to share with you a little about my Faith...I had been a member of a Baptist Church where we'd lived before moving up to the mountains further north in VA...almost to the Berkeley Springs WV line. ( I believe God allowed us to find this little doublewide that's nestled down in the middle of huge old trees on 5 acres of land...in previous posts I've share some of the remodeling we've been doing in the last 5 yrs of living here. My hubby has been amazing as he's certainly leaped out of his comfort zone by not only painting the outside, but even atempting carpentry which he had no knowledge at all. I'm proud of him! ) Now I got way off track, but hey those who know me are used to it..hehehe!! Since there wasn't a Baptist Church in our area I started attending the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church just around the corner from where we live. Then Pastor, Jim Markle is a very loving and caring Pastor who shares his love for our Lord with his sermons...it's a very small Church with only about 22 members each Sunday, then he goes off to a it's sister Church a couple miles away where he shares another sermon with their larger congragation!
WELLLLL, yesterday I joined that Church for I've found the members to be loving children of God who share that love with each other and me too!!! My way of thinking is it really doesn't matter which denomonation we belong to it's the fellowship with others that counts...Bible Believing Churches who believe in sharing the Gospel with all those we come into contact with, as well as sharing what God has blessed us with along the way. We are to help those we see are in need...isn't it awesome when we reach out to give a little something to others how it not only helps them, but it makes our hearts sing too? Soooo I have painting a little painting of a cross in memorance of my joining!!! May we all reach out to help those in need for God will provide a way for us to do just that!!!
Have a wonderful week my friends waking early to have your quiet time with God...that has become the most precious time for me!!!!

We celebrate Easter

Easter brings with it the most stirring feelings of love, joy and sadness to me. When I read the story of how Jesus dies then arises in Luke 22:14-23:56 my heart feels so much pain as I picture in my mind his suffering at our expense.

Just think God provided a way for each of us to be saved from sin to have a life with HIM in eternity....Jesus God's sacrificial Lamb. I bend to give praise for such an awesome love such as this...As Good Friday approches I pray for those who haven't yet accepted this awesome, free gift of salvation they will do it now so they will feel all the love our Father has for all those how believe. I want to wish each and everyone who come to visit me a Blessed Easter Season. (((hugs))) Bevie

What I'm so thankful for

Today being Thanksgiving I wanted to come and share what I'm thankful for this year. It's amazing how most of what I'm thankful for doesn't change...I'm thankful for my Abba Father who came down as his son to die on that cross in Calvary for all our sins...what a terrible death that was....just think how much our God loves us to do that...just think!!!! I'm thankful for the family I have, my wonderful husband, and children we raised, and of course all our grandchildren. I'm so thankful that even tho we struggle to make ends meet like so many of our neighbors we are never without food to eat, heat to keep us warm, and a nice home....I'm thankful for my mom being here for Thanksgiving. The turkey was put in the oven around 7am so dinner will be 2 or 3...yes it's a big bird for just 3 of us, but my daughters will be here with one's kids so we will have plenty food leftover for days.
May I extend a very warm greeting to each of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, and my wish that you share your blessings with others around you...(((gentle hugs to all my online friends)))

June 1st and look what I found!

The minute my feet hit the floor this morning I know it was going to be an awesome day. As I usually do I open the door to smell in the cool fresh air of early morning, and was greated by the awesome sounds of birds scurrying around gathering food for their young. One little hummer already at it's feeder on the front deck. All the while I'm smiling at what God greats most of us with each day. A brand new beginning knowing full well yesterday is gone, nothing can change that, and tomorrow well it may not be here for some, so today is a good as it gets!!! Now where did that all come from...my mind seems to go deep into the back finding things I probably dreamed about the night before..ehehehe!!! All I'm saying is we need to make the most of each day we are given...I sure am trying. Someone reminded me the other day not to sweat the small stuff...the things we can't really do anything about. Course we know that God is always with us to lift us up, and carry us when it's needed. Today I'm feeling wonderful especially as the sun arose in the ski bringing forth all the new beauty of the day. I grabbed my camera and walked down the sidewalk to where the rose bushes line the side of our home. Yep there they were, 5 bushes all in a line each giving me their best blooms to capture! Well the yellow bush was being shy today, but I'm sure they will get over it and produce a beautiful bloom soon!
So I leave you with these beautiful pictures to enjoy...sure wish this was smelablog so you could enjoy their fragrance too!!!
love ya all...have a wonderful day!

I had a dream

I don't usually write about dreams, but last night I woke from one in which I was a cat...yep, that's what I said, a cat!! A huge beautiful calico cat with green eyes...hummm...I wonder if that's because mine are greenish!! Anyway in this dream I was running in the woods trying to get away from a big, gruffy dog! Now I was home on the porch curled up in my little blankie catching some ZZZZZs when this big dog we shall call WOLF came up the steps sniffing all around...out of one eye I could see him coming closer and closer to me. I jumped just in time to escape his wide open jaws!!! Over the rail of the deck I jumped running as fast as lightening...surely he couldn't cat me I thought. Now, 10 minutes later I stop in my tracks cuz I've come to a fork in the road...hummm..which one should I take I thought. My intuition told me to take the road on the left as it would lead to the big barn on my owners property, but my mind said take the right cuz it will take you to the highway. I woke just as I started off on .......................................................................................................................................................................

The left path. See I'd had this dream before where I'd taken the road to the right, and ended up in traffic so thick it was a wonder I got back home at all!!! The left path took me back to the barn on our property where I'd find my owner feeding the cows. He always loved seeing me earling in the morning, and would squirt milk in my mouth!!

See it's like people...we come to a path in life where we aren't quite sure which way to go. Do we listen to what we THINK we should do, or do we stop and pray about it first. Listening to the whisper of God is sometimes not what we do is it??? I know I haven't always done that...but of late I've realized the only way to be sure of what God wants for me is to pray about it and WAIT for an answer!!! I'm thinking it's ok to take tiny steps in the right direction rather than taking huge steps backwards...what do you think???
Blessings for a bright and loving day!!!
