Look what I found while cleaning my Studio!

It's amazing how much stuff I find when I finally straighten my little Computer/Studio room.  I spent most of the day yesterday and today going thru drawers, and boxes (yes) finding not only many of my completed ATCs and little painting, but envelopes of old old photos I'd forgotten all about.  I hope you enjoy peeking into how some of my siblings as well as mom and dad when they were young.  The only one I didn't find photos of was Mary cuz she just happens to be the youngest one...Blessings to everyone who stops by, and wishing you a wonderful weekend.  I'll be sharing some things at an indoor flea market at the Roundhill Ruritan Club on Rt 50 N and Poorhouse Rd near Winchester VA Hospital...if you happen to be in the area do stop by and say hello!!!

Taking a fence down

We were asked to go back up to Milboro Springs, VA again this weekend to help take a fence down, but it didn't end like our trip last weekend.  It was a beautiful ride, and I took lots of photos as we drove of some lovely farms, homes and wonderful landscapes which I'll share at the end of this post.  Thursday Dewey's dr changed one of his BP perscriptions because it was taken off the $4.00 list which mean it cost too much for us pay.  It wasn't till Friday night that Dewey took the first one, and during the night he became very dizzy.  Yep, it was evidentally too strong and caused his pressure to go way down.. we decided we should head for home Saturday around noon instead of staying till Sunday which is what we'd planned.  They'd worked hard on Friday to take down the board fence so they didn't have to work on it Saturday.  He's feeling much better today however his BP is still low, 90/52  will see his dr tomorrow for re-evaluation.  Dewey just walked in and said God is taking care of him!  We are truly blessed~

Now to share somemore photos, then I have to get ready for our yearly Church meeting where we elect officers, etc.  I pray that each of you have a wonderful, safe week ahead!  Blessings!!

Sams' Family Reunion

We don't usually take a vacation, but when our annual reunion comes around we try not miss it.  God gave us a beautiful day from the minute we got in the Van around 7am.  We arrived at Douthat State Park up near Goshen VA.  Everyone was there, Dewey's 3 sisters, Helen,Lottie, Diane and 2 of his brothers, Buddy and Dave.  Of course the respective spouses were there as well...then other family I'd met at the previous reunion.  Was wonderful to see how much the children and grandchildren of bros and sisters have grown.  There was a marriage of one Niece who was so happy and glowing.  I was feeling really great so was able to take several walks and even went down the children's slide.  I'd taken a picture of Lottie going down last year.  There are 3 slides side by side so we went down together..you can only image how many years it's been since I'd been down one...hummm perhaps 25, 30 yrs..Yep!!!
I did take lost of photos of the waterfalls not far from where we were set up...all the food was wonderful as usual....we didn't want the day to end, but we knew it was going to be another 3 hrs back home so we started packing up about 5pm...by the time we stopped by Lottie's Cabin then on to her sister, Helen's and boots it was about 8pm before we got on the road.  Believe it or not, I didn't fall asleep at all which is very unusual for me..ehehhehe

Here are some photos...am tired so will close this post and share more another day!!!  Blessings~~

Through Prayer all things are possible.

I just visited my sister, Mary's blog  "Asplendid Adventure"  where I read about little Caden born recently to Adam and Becca.  We are asking for continual prayer for little Caden who has already gone through one Open Heart Surgery.  There are so many heartbreaking stories similar to this that there's nothing anyone can do but PRAY!!  http://thestanleyclan.blogspot.com/

Our Rainy Saturday drive

I have to say we were so blessed to have a very rainy Saturday as it's been in the high 90's for weeks without any.  I still get some tomatoes, but the rest of our veggies gone.  Am waiting now for the apple orchard to start selling apples to can applesauce.   We enjoyed riding through up and down the old dirt  roads back in the moutains in the rain!  Here are a couple photos I took.

Love this farm!

Wet but very warm

Can you see the Crane on the top of this tree?
We watched it fly from a creek, and was able to catch his landing
Sunday was our 29th Wedding Anniversary and enjoyed another little ride spotting momma deer and their babies.  So sad to see a couple younguns on the side of the road...seems their momma just takes off and expect the babies to keep up!!   Have an awesome week being guided by the Holy Spirit within us.   ((hugs)) Bevie!

Our prayers are being answered.

I mentioned that my hubby lost his shop several weeks ago, however a friend and his parents sat down with them and offered a portion of their large shop for as long as it's needed...Good Christian family who believes God wants them to share.  We are so blessed!!  This shop is in WV so we've decided to sell our home in VA if we can buy one in WV making the trip to work a short one for a change.  Dewey had been traveling 45 mins to and from work spending big bucks on gas.  This will help keep us within our budget, and get us closer to our children (all but one lives in WV) Yea!!  It's actually 3 houses from Dewey's daughter so I'll be able see that Harley gets on and off the bus when school starts.  We love our little home in the mountains with all the tall old trees....but there's a huge shop on the property with no restrictions so the guys can work from home!!  Keep us close in prayer if you will...God is in control and we have Faith that things will be as HE wants them.

My therapy should end in the next couple weeks because I'm progressing well.  Knee bend @ 103 degrees, needs to be @ 110.  It's perfect with it straightened.  Hurray!  I've lost 29 lbs since the surgery and pulling out clothes I've had stored away for at least 5 yrs...eheheh!!
Here's a photo of my sweet, little therapist and me!

This is from the Message
Ephesians 3:20-21
God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Glory to God in the church!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!

Awaiting on God's guidance.

You know things happen in life that doesn't make much sense however, we need to be able to react with the knowledge that God is in control of everything...it's been a trying week for us as the guy Dewey was renting from the past couple years asked him to leave on Friday!  He had approched Dewey with a new contract that had things in it that Dewey couldn't agree to.  A million dollars of insurance on the building he was using was one thing...no insurance co. would ever insure that old building for that much money.  Secondly Dewey was to pay $700.00 a mo for a full year after if there was a fire.  So I would imagine that was the reason to have him move.  Move to where?? Everything was moved to our storage building and garage at home.  Because we are in a Homeowner's we cannot work out of our home, but we could continue to tow for the County we live in.  That's a good thing!  We've been looking at a house that's available in the County where he was working making it possible to build a shop and work from home there!  We're waiting for God's guidance in this matter.  It's a strange thing to have this happen when things are really tight already, but we aren't afraid at all because we know God is in control of our lives....we've put it all at HIS feet....Blessings to all those who find themselves in a similar situation...(((hugs))) Bevie
