I'm sharing a couple photos

Well our weekend was very fruitful in that my hubby was able to get most of our home painted. Monday was supposed to be the day to finish up the front...but God had other plans which were indeed more important. He's showed us with wonderful rain since late yesterday, all night and into today!!! Our grass and plants are drinking it up like no tomorrow. I did a happy dance as well because those of us with wells really needed replenishing. Ok back to the house...I have to show you what our little BROWN trailer looked like before we decided to update, and brighten up!!! hehehe

We will be adding burgandy shutters in the front as well as adding the burgandy to the big and little star, and the top board just under the guttering too. We will be having guttering made next year...too much on the pocketbook for now...but I love it...Now to share some of what we are finishing up in the house. We've taken up carpet and replaced with Laminent. (would have preferred wood) sigh!!!
We've created larger beams in the ceiling because the old 1x4s just didn't look real..

We still have more to do...it's a time comsuming project when you aren't a carpenter..hehehehe~~ I give my dear hubby (Dewey) an A+ and then some for all he has accomplished over the past year...that and running his own business...he's my Super Man..hhehehe Can you tell I love him so???

Blessing to all for a wonderful weekend...(((hugs))) Bevie

I'm a little late posting about our Saturday ride..

Well here it is Thursday already and I've yet to show you some of the photos I took on our Saturday drive...last weekend!!! hhehe!! We really had a great day even tho it was really hot and humid. We took in some yard sales as well as stopped at a couple indoor flea markets...didn't buy anything just enjoyed each other's company. I do so cherish our time all along without the pugs...just quiet please once in awhile..eheheh!!! I also painted a couple more little ACEOs to list in my Etsy shop. What can I say they are just so nice to sell for a very low price so people that can't afford a the large canvas paintings they can collect an original piece of art just the same.
I woke this morning feeling tired since Chronic Fatigue has raised it's ugly head several nights this week...isn't it frustrating when you know you are tired so you go to bed at a reasonable time only to find you're lying there for hours with your eyes wide open...I try to be quiet when getting outta bed, but of course the dogs decide they aren't tire either and one by one (3 of them) they jump down to follow me. Thus waking my hubby who really needs his rest. I'm praying for a good nights sleep tonight...and I hope each of you spend your day tomorrow listening to your muse and creating something you really like...I go in for some blood work at 10am (can't even have a cup of coffee Yikes..) then chat with the dr. We spend usually one half to an hour waiting to see her, then another 15 mins in the ROOM waiting...then she spends about 20 mins with me...what's wrong with this picture??? My time is just as valuable as the Doctors isn't yours?? Ok, I'll stop venting...at least I got an appointment.

Some pics of our drive...lovely Virginia..and some old barns, houses, geese I've captured on a previous ride. My hubby said, there's an old yellow truck for Mary's yard...so there you go Mar...what'cha think??

And here are some of my ACEOs...

How has your day been??

Here it is 5pm, and I'm thinking what in the world will I fix for dinner...ehehhe!! By evening with all the high temps we've been experiencing I don't have the energy to do much cooking...but I do have a hubby who's been working all day and deserves something good for him, right? He called a little while ago to say not to cook anything...we'd just have a salad with all our veggies from the garden...I'm thinking I'll cut up some Swiss Chard, and 2 kinds of lettuce I've grown on the front deck...cucs, onions and tomatoes all from our raised beds then I'll add nuts, dried cranberries and make a lovely vinagarette dressing Top it off with grilled chicken and call it a meal...what'cha think??? Come on over I can make enough for an army!!! hhehehe
Ok, I was up at 5am got my hubby off to work then settled down at the dining room table creating some more little ACEOs & ATCs...I put two in my etsy shop the day before yesterday...they are featured in the last post here, and the sold!!! Wow that was quick, and the first two I've ever sold...yep...guess I've been creating the wrong kind..hehhehe!!

Here are a couple I did today one of which is for my precious little sister, Mary...if you haven't checked out her blog please do. http://asplendidadventure.blogspot.com

This is a painted I'd started when visiting her in GA last year...she finally finished it, and it's awesome...once you visit you will be following her I"m sure cuz she has much to share!!!

Here's a couple journal pages prepped and ready to create on!!!

A lovely weekend!

We took our usual Sunday drive through the countryside enjoying all the old farm houses along the way. This time we stopped by one that had been empty for probably years. As we walked around we could almost feel the life that filled it long ago. We could imagine children running all over the grounds playing hid and seek, Mom coming out to let them know dinner was ready. I could almost see what I was imagining! Leaving there we drove down to The National Park where people were setting up for lunch at the camp sites, and we could hear children screaming with delight as they cooled off in the creek! As we reached the edge of the water I kicked my shoes off and waded in too...awe, that felt so good after days of temps that reached up into the 100s.

As we traveled on I tried to capture some of the buildings, and landscapes we were seeing, but as usual we were traveling too fast for me to capture much. We enjoyed a nice meal at a Chinese Restaurant then headed back home only to see hugh dark clouds appearing as we got closer. Rain was coming down in buckets as we reached Rt 522! There were times we had to slow to a creep when we couldn't see a foot infront of us. (We later discovered the winds were up to 60 miles an hr.) Cars were pulled off to the side of the road traffic going the other direction was at a stand still because of several huge trees the wind blew across the road. Luckily only tree limbs scattered our road...as we reached home the rains had slowed some keeping us from get drenched.
It's amazing how just one good rainfall can reverse all the damage done by weeks of little or no rain. I can actually see new growth this morning!!! Yey!!!

Have a wonderful week creating!!!

I thank my Lord for the gift of creating!!

I"m sure so many of us who find pleasure in created art thank our Lord for that awesome gift...For myself I know it's not only been a very rewarding experience, but has also been a healing one...I believe God puts things in our heart to help us grow as a person, and to help us heal...yes the Bible is the most important book in our lives as a Christian, all the answers for living can be found there! I am so thankful for all that my FATHER has given me over the years...Joy comes in so many ways! When I share my painting here I'm sharing my love for God as well...for He gave me this talent. The human side of us wants to think we can accomplish anything in our own strengths, but the Bible says we must pray about it and wait for God's reply. Throughout my life I've had difficulty waiting...how much easier is my life today after believing in Faith that God wants the very best for me. He loves me and you so much!!!!
Now to share some of my little paintings...Blessings for all to have a wonderful God filled week!!! I pray for your safety if you are traveling.

Recognizing a Stroke

*RECOGNIZING A STROKE*
*Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

*S** **Ask the individual to SMILE.

*T** **Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today.)

*R* *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number *immediately *and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke:

Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

These are very simple steps to take when you suspect someone is having a stroke..it could be that a person stumbles, falls and when helped up says he/she is just fine...hrs later only to find that person was rushed to the emergency room and later died....Drs say if they can reach a person having a stroke in the first 3 HOURS they can totally reverse the effects of a stroke.

Hope everyone is having a great day...Bevie

I love painting because

Isn't it kewl that you can actually start a painting, but if you aren't happy with it you can just gesso over it and start anew!! This 12x16 inch painting on canvasboard was the "working on" one I'd started a few days ago..the one with the big tree...not only does gesso prep our canvases, but it can create a brand new palate to work with...here it is looking totally different..not sure it's completely finished...sometimes I tend to over work a painting..do you do that??

A painting just finished last night..

Good morning!

Good morning to all those who happen by my blog. The first photo is of a little seascape done in acrylic paints I'm working on right now. The other is of a tree filled with lovely hearts...a little whimsy makes me smile does it do that to you too??

I guess I love doing Whimsical and folksy paintings the best..there's something about creating something that really makes you feel good inside, and the hopes it does the same to those who see it. I was notified just yesterday that one ov my 11x14 paints done on canvasboard sold on June 29th...couldn't believe I just found the message...I have it all ready to go out in the mail today!!! Thank you Jennifer....

This is the painting...

I pray that you all are well, and enjoying all the blessings God has given you!!!

Work sometimes never ends!

Dinner was over the dishes washed and we were settling down for a nice break out on the deck before going to bed, when I asked my hubby what all the water was on the bathroom carpet. He said he's dropped something and washed it up. I said it sure was lots of water. He promptly went in and discovered it was far more wet so started looking around. He leaned into the wall and it started to crumble. You have to remember we live in an older doublewide on a foundation so the walls aren't all that thick. Since the hot water heater is on the other side of that wall we thought it was leaking...Yep, after taking the washing machine out on the back deck we were able to get to it, and the floor was soaked. He cut it off, and headed back to our bathroom. Up came the carpet and down came the one long wall, what a mess..we'd planned on taking that carpet up and put down tile, but not till the bedroom walls were completed....the floors were already done! The bad think is we weren't expecting to have to purchase a new hot water heater since this one was installed just 3 yrs ago...it should last longer than that shouldn't it...especially since the company putting it in said it was one of the best...sure!!! Dewey got hold of that company and they said they would try to replace it today, but since it's a Holiday it may have to wait till Tuesday...good thing I did laundry yesterday, but I'm not too keen on taking a cold shower...even if it is rather hot out..hehhehe!!

Here's a couple photos of what the bathroom looks like today...with all the remodeling we've done over the past 4 yrs we would have been better off downing this little home, and putting up a modular at least everything would be new..ehehhe!!! This trailer was made back in 1978! I don't want to speculate what will go bad next..ehehhehe!!! Sure hope you 4th of July Holiday doesn't start out this way!!!
Blessings to all for a very safe and happy holiday!!!
