Getting ready!

Most of you know I'm getting ready for my second total knee replacement (TKR) next Weds.  I have to tell you getting ready for this surgery has been much different than when getting ready for the last TKR.  More tests this time, and would you believe they've gotten much better at getting most of the test done in one day!!!   I thought all testing was behind me till I visited my regular doctor for a release to have the surgery!
She found some changes in the EKG they did during Pre-Op testing last week.  I got a quick appt for a 2-D Echo yesterday.  This doesn't really hurt, but because you have to stay in one position for the 45 mins it takes to do it, I was hurting all over...
They told me they'd send the results as soon as it was read...prayfully we'll find it wasn't anything that will keep me from having this surgery.
I know without a doubt God is in control so there's no need for me to worry.
I took a couple photos of me before having that test...thought I'd share some with ya...have a blessed day you all!!!

Which one should I use as my profile photo???
Boy am I showing my age...ehehehe!!!
See you all soon...

Sunset Sunrise.....Glory be to God!!

I captured these photos of our sunset last evening, and thought just how much my life can be compared to a sunset and sunrise.   For me, having a sunny day makes me feel much better even though my pain levels may be the same when it's rainy and cloudy.  Perhaps I should wear a sun lamp on my head when on those days..ehhehe~
Today it's sunny, in the 80's, and very low humidity. Also we have winds sometimes blowing 20 miles an hr.  Feels awesome.   Today I go to have lunch with my daugher, Missy again.   So I will keep this post short.  Hope your day is filled with all the things you love.
Blessings,
Bevie

How was your Memorial Weekend?

Hello friends, I wasn't able to do the Indoor Flea Market as planned so my hubby, and I took to Rt 11 (the scenic route) from Winchester, VA thru many towns down to Stauntan, VA (for those who know the area) and it was absolutely beautiful all the way!  So very warm with lots of sun we were able to leave the windows down making it easier to see things.   We left home just after 6 am and  stopped at our little country restaurant for breakfast then enjoyed visiting some yard sales buy little things from some.   We actually put over 160 miles on the old van. Yikes...so happy to have found gas at $3.49 a gal.  I remember when it was 50 cents a gal...do you???

Got a good report when I had a follow up mammo...just as I suspected the little bruise on my left boob was the culprit, and was caused by one of the pugs walking on me...hehehhe!

I wasn't worried at all for God's Peace was with me.  I was reminded of the verse given to me while at " The Potters House Retreat" Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
 John 14:27
then I kept hearing....
And the peace of God, which passeth all understandings, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
 Phil 4:7
May we remember always the Peace and Grace HE gives us!
Now before I close I'd like to thank all those who are in harms way while serving to protect all of us!  You are in my prayers daily for the love you all hold for us...Blessings, Bevie

a 16x20 mixed media canvas I did several years ago!
I truly believe our FAITH keeps us from worrying about things we have no control over! Blessings!!

I'm loving this week!

We've been blessed to have several days without rain!  The sun comes up earlier and earlier, and the birds with their little babies are filling the air with their beautiful songs.  I have to show you another photo of the 5 roses infront of my ramp....they are just so full of blossoms, and lots more buds to open!
I also just finished another little acrylic, mixed media painting...I'm really loving play with paints out of the deck..who could  want more than to be surrounds with  all the sights and sounds of God's creations while getting covered in paint? hehehehe!!
Had my mammo yesterday. I always ask for Heather cuz she's really good at doing it, and of couse I've know her for years having worked in that department too.   Got a call back this morning., Heather  said, "Hi Bev, you know I'm not calling to just say hello"!  How could I not laugh at that.  And I wasn't worried either...I go back for more films tomorrow...so keep me close in your prayers if you will~~~ Now for some photos of the progression of my flowers growing out front.  I have 2 Peony bushes in the back and will take some photos of them once they are fully open!
Blessings to you as you go through your awesome day!! Bevie

Another good day!!

Well I made it to Church Sunday which I can't always do...it always makes the days ahead more bright...Today I wondered if we'd have rain or sun, but around 6:30 the sun was streaming thru all the windows!! Yah!!  Worked on a couple seascapes  then left to have coffee with my friend Diane who I used to work with many years ago at a Center for Independence called AI.  We now meet at Church, and for coffee when I can drive.   As I left her house I noticed the sky was clouding up suspecting a rain shower !  Wanted to share some photos taken on our Sat ride and things still growing around the house.  Maybe I can get this uploaded before the rain starts...Blessings!!!
